AI Teaching & Learning Resources

This page provides ready-to-use resources to help faculty address AI use in the classroom. Whether you are identifying potential AI-generated work, discussing responsible AI use with students, or communicating course expectations, the resources below can support those conversations.

**These resources are designed to be flexible—use what fits your course context.

Recognizing Potential AI Use

AI detection tools (including Turnitin’s AI indicator) can be helpful, but they are not definitive. No tool can reliably determine whether AI was used, so results should always be considered alongside other evidence and professional judgment.

Things to Notice:

  • Noticeable shift in writing style
  • Overly generic or surface-level responses
  • Missing or unverifiable citations
  • Work that doesn’t match the assignment prompt
  • Difficulty explaining submitted ideas

This video explains how to recognize potential AI-generated work and respond appropriately when concerns arise.

📌Key Concepts Covered in the Video

Students will learn:

  • How AI can support learning (and where it can mislead)
  • The VERIFY framework for checking AI-generated content:
    • Verify facts
    • Evaluate accuracy
    • Review course policies
    • Improve prompts
    • Fact check sources
